About

One person, one trade, and a diary at the end of it

Myshukrin is a business name used by Mykola Shkurin, working on his own account from Kilmarnock. There is no company behind it and no team: when this site says I, it means one person, and that is who answers your email.

The work

Booking setup, and nothing else

A booking platform out of the box knows nothing about a salon. It does not know that a full head of colour takes an afternoon and a fringe trim takes ten minutes, that the colour room takes one client at a time whoever is free, that one member of staff does not do beards and another does not work Tuesdays, or that the last appointment of the day cannot start at ten to closing. All of that has to be put in, by somebody, once.

That is the whole of what I do: put it in. Treatments with their real lengths, staff with their real hours, the rules a salon runs on out of habit, the messages that go out around an appointment, and the link or widget that clients book through. Then a session where I hand it over, and a written note for whoever was not in the room.

It is a narrow trade on purpose. Doing one thing means the price can be a fixed figure rather than an hourly rate that nobody can plan around — £290 or £690, agreed in writing before anything starts.

A single salon chair turned towards a window, empty, in warm daylight.
The chair is yours, the account is yours, and after the handover session the diary is yours too.

How I work

Inside your account, in your name

Every part of this is arranged so that nothing of yours depends on me once the setup is finished.

Your platform, your subscription

The account is opened in the salon’s name and paid for by the salon. I am given access to it while the work is on, and that access ends at handover unless you are on the monthly plan. Nothing I build is locked to me.

Remote, with one session in the diary

The building is done remotely. The handover is a video call — 45 minutes with Solo Booking Setup, 90 minutes with Salon Booking Setup — booked at a time the salon is quiet, with whoever runs the diary day to day on the call.

Written down before it is started

The scope and the figure come back in writing and nothing begins until you have accepted them. I answer an email by the end of the next working day, which is when you hear from me rather than when a job is finished.

Deliberately not offered

Five things you will not be sold here

A short list is worth more than a long one, because every line on it is something somebody else will happily charge you for.

I do not run your diary for you

The setup ends with the diary in your hands. Answering clients, moving bookings and chasing people who did not turn up are the running of a salon, and they stay with the salon.

I do not sell you the booking platform

The subscription is bought by you, in your name, direct from the platform. I take nothing from it, no reseller margin and no introduction fee, and if you leave me you keep the account and everything in it.

I do not touch your clients’ money

Deposits, payments and no-show charges run through your own account with the platform or its payment provider. Nothing of theirs comes to me, and no card details pass through this website at any point.

I do not promise that fewer people will miss appointments

A reminder goes out; whether somebody turns up is between you and them. Anybody who puts a percentage next to that sentence is guessing, and the guess is being sold to you.

I do not rebuild your website

The booking widget goes into a site you already have. Building one, redesigning one or hosting one is somebody else’s trade and it is not inside any figure here.

Booking System Support is the one thing on this site that recurs, and it is optional: £85 a month for up to an hour of changes, stopped by writing before the next month starts.

Where

Kilmarnock, and the law that comes with it

The business is run from 1 Peatland Quadrant, Kilmarnock KA1 4PN. That is an address for letters and for serving documents rather than a salon you can call at, and it is the address printed at the head of every one of the written terms on this site.

Being in Scotland is not a detail. The terms are governed by the law of Scotland and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction over them, which is a different answer from the one an English business would give. The rights a consumer has under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 do not change with the border — both are United Kingdom legislation — but the courts and the public holidays do.

Everything goes through email: production@myshukrin.com. It is the address on every page of this site and the one an answer comes from.
